Najprej uvodna beseda.

The opening line.

Hvala. Hvala tebi, ki to bereš in hvala vsem, ki so omogočili, da to lahko bereš.
Jaz sem to napisal in ti to bereš. Stvar niti ni tako zelo dramatična, če pomislimo, da je vse napisano na programskem listu festivala in da bo ta, slej ko prej, romal v smeti. Zakaj pa potem vse to delamo?

I wrote this and you are reading it. Not really a big deal, considering that this piece of »festival paper« will soon find its way into the rubbish bin. But why the hell are we then doing this?

Zaradi vas! Zaradi publike. Če ni publike, tudi teatra ni. Vendar pa marsikdaj marsikdo zabrede in začne misliti, da gledališče potrebuje publiko in ne publika gledališča. Mi mislimo, da je to dvosmeren tok… Publike ne potrebujemo zaradi vstopnic, sponzorjev in javnih virov. Publike ne potrebujemo zaradi aplavza, lepih oblek, rož in zakuske. Publike ne potrebujemo za potešitev ekshibicionizma. Publiko potrebujemo, ko je predstav in festivalov konec, ko se publika spet spremeni v človeka, občana, soseda. Takrat dobi vse skupaj smisel, ali pa ga izgubi. Gledališče za nas ni mesto, kjer pozabljamo nase, ampak mesto, ki nas na nas opozarja.

Because of you! The audience. With no audience there’s no theatre. But many times many think that that theatre needs its audience and not the audience its theatre. We think it goes both ways. We don't need our audience because of tickets, sponsors or public funds. We don't need it because of applause, fancy dresses, flowers or catering. We don't need it to satisfy our exhibitionism. We need our audience when the performances and festivals are over, when the viewer transforms into the human, the citizen, the neighbour. Only then things make sense or have no sense at all.
For us, theatre is not the place where we forget ourselves, but the place that brings us back to ourselves.

Program festivala je super. Če ne bi bil super, ga ne bi delali. Lutke, kosti, ples, kri, Cooperjev test, zlorabljene lubenice, še malo lutk, celofan, pivo, selotejp, nagci, zajci, koncerti, pogovori, delavnice, druženje, sperma, štajerci, čehi, akademijci, lasulje… Predstave so opisane na naslednjih straneh. Ljudje imamo različne okuse in poglede, naš festival pa je namenjen ravno  vsem tem različnim okusom in pogledom.


The programme of the festival is great. If it wouldn't be great, we wouldn't do it. People have different tastes and opinions; our festival is for all those different tastes and opinions.
